Chassis trimmed and front seat belts bolted in.

I cut a hole in the neat little pale grey plastic trims at the base of the B pillars to bolt rhe inertia reels in.

Mounting the reel in this position means it doesn't stick out and get in the way of rear passengers' feet, and the belt is tucked up against the pillar - much neater (and stronger) than the usual practice of mounting it on top of the chassis panel.

At this stage (sometime in early 2012) the car still had the old leather Pallas seats and the 'temporary' cloth door cards.

The spare (modified) seats were away for the best part of a year with my friend Darren Evans being re-trimmed in 'E-Bay-find' cloth.

I didn't manage to pluck up the courage to make new matching door cards until early 2013 . . .
