IDrearseatbeltbrace

I designed this cross-bracket and had it fabricated by my friend Ian Broscombe. It has a black powder coat finish.

As described previously it provides solid mountings for rear seat belt inertia reels, central rear belt shoulder strap, and the rear head restraints.

It bolts beteen the inner rear wings (which in themselves are quite thin metal which can easily distort when reels are attached independently), and also bolts to the underside of the parcel shelf at the front of the boot area.

The head restraints are from the back seat of a Ford Sierra (to match the front ones) - these have curved legs allowing them to be mounted over the back of the seat. The legs simply have threads cut on them so they can bolt throungh the shelf and the box part of this bracket.
