The front seats are truly like armchairs (except they have no arms), and (allowing for the extra height) they have been trimmed to reflect the pattern originally used on the later type of DS seat. They have the rotary type of recline adjuster mechanism (rather than the earlier lever type) which I freed and lubricated (although they are still fairly stiff to use).

I painted the seat runners in pale grey, and in this shot you can just see the tops of the front speaker housings.

The grey seat back panels finish the upholstry off very well - I resisted the temptation to pad the vinyl, as I realised this would probably make them more vulnerable to damage.

This photo was taken before I made the new door cards (which were about the last major job undertaken).
