IDnewseats

Relishing the comfort . . .

After a year of waiting I eventually got the beautifully re-covered seats back from my trimmer friend Darren Evans. To be fair to him, because I still had the leather Pallas seats to use in the car, our arrangement had always been that he would fit them in between other jobs; so I didn't hassle him too much.

They took far more of the Mint green Roma cloth than originally anticipated (they are very big compared to modern car seats), and because this cloth doesn't stretch the job was more dificult that leather or vinyl. Luckily, I was able to buy more of this (now out of production) colourway. I had to make sure I had some cloth left for the new door cards . . .

Although it looks green in the photos, the piping its actually a colour called "Doeskin" (a sort of light beige), which works very well with the Mint cloth. The seat belts are made from silver/beige webbing and also match very well.

The old beardy in the photo can't quite believe what a comfortable space this interior now is . . .
