And the rear seat is also incredibly comfortable. With acres of leg room and sumptuous padding it really is a very nice place to be.

Although the base part of this seat is essentually a large piece of molded Dumlopillo foam sitting on a simple wire frame, the seat back is altogether more complicated.

It consists of a thin perimeter frame containing a large quantity of very soft springs covered in wadding. I presume this is the only way Citroën could make it soft enough for their purposes. It took me a long time to thoroughly clean and re-paint befor it could be re-trimmed

There is also a large fold-down armrest (foam on a wodden base attached to the hinge mechanism) which adds to the complication.

Because the shoulder part of the two main seat belts appear through slots in the back shelf, they sit flat over the seat back when not in use. The central belt can be un-clipped from the shelf and tucked away down the back of the seat base.
