Despite surface rust the boot floor (in fact almost the whole floor of the car) was very sound and needed no repairs. It was eventually scrubbed and well sealed.

The two tubes visible here are part of the factory option tow bar, which was found to be badly bent (probably due to its use as a tie-down point during transportation. It was eventually straightened and pwder-coated brown before re-fitting.
